Hands That Heal

Testimonials

"Rob worked with Team Motorpoint while at the 2011 Tour of Britain. He was a great character to have around and was very professional. As a rider it was nice to have the confidence in Rob getting everything sorted and taken care of so I had nothing to worry about but race my bike and recover. Being a qualified and experienced physio it was good to know that any potential injuries could be dealt with in capable hands. I hope to work with him again in the future"

"I came to see Lisa Wiles after visiting a number of other physio's to treat an on-going back problem. Lisa is a very hands-on physio, which I'm sure is one of the main reasons why I started to see big improvements quickly. Despite me identifying the main problem areas, in terms of the pain I was experiencing, Lisa conducted a full body assessment to ascertain the why I was experiencing the discomfort. This process helped to identify significant other areas to target in my treatment, for example, my stomach, hip flexors, groin etc which were all tight and contributing to my back problems. Lisa is a very knowledgeable+experienced practitioner. Whilst treating the symptoms of my injury she also identified potential causes and developed an exercise programme to address these areas and muscle imbalances. Since visiting Lisa I have made considerable improvement, and would strongly recommend her to anyone in need of a physiotherapist!"

"Lisa Wiles is the current Great Britain U22 Squad Physiotherapist, Lisa is a friendly kind and professional young physio who is talented at her role within the British Basketball Squad and other clubs she is associated with. I have seen Lisa on several occasions within basketball all with different problems and injuries which she has been able to assess and treat, making me fit enough to go back on the court, I'd like to thank Lisa for her time and effort."

"Lisa has treated me at several tournaments now, at club, senior and junior international level. She is very professional and tailored her treatment to my needs. I mostly receive sports massages from her and these have been vital to my performances as her expertise in this area has prevented me from being injured and maintained my flexibility. Lisa is always friendly and makes going to physiotherapy a much more pleasant experience."

"I was introduced to Rob at Hands That Heal - Physio and Massage Clinic when seeking treatment. I am a 78 year old male with one hip replaced plus the other hip and lower spine badly affected by arthritis, suffering much pain and with very restricted mobility. Through regular treatment, Rob has, I am happy to report, achieved a state where I now enjoy great relief from pain and a very marked improvement in mobility. All this has been achieved with professionalism in a friendly and jocular atmosphere. I have no hesitation in recommending the services of this fine physio."

"Lisa Wiles has been the physio at Pocklington RUFC for over 4 years and has become an invaluable member of the team. With a professional and friendly manor she is able to create a relaxed atmosphere to find out the route of the problem and get you back on the pitch as fast as possible. Lisa has to adapt her approach treating the younger and older members of the club which is she does with ease. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone, she is a real asset to the club."
John-Paul Kelly, Pocklington RUFC Player and ex-captain

"My first placement involved me working alongside Lisa Wiles at Pocklington Rugby Union club, where she is the head physiotherapist. Lisa was very empathetic with clients during their assessments, and spent a lot of time assessing their injuries, explaining to them the nature of the injury, and then considering which form of treatment would be most appropriate for the injury. If the clients were given rehabilitation plans which involved special exercises, she would sit with the client and go through the exercises making sure they understood how the exercises will improve the outcome of the injury, and also making sure they carried out the exercises correctly and safely. Lisa's quality of advice that she gave was at the highest of standards, to both me and the clients at the rugby club. Lisa is an excellent physiotherapist, who is really focused on improving the health and wellbeing of her clients, and deals with them with a professional yet approachable manner. I would recommend her to anyone seeking professional friendly treatment."
