A wide variety of hands on treatment and exercises to ensure a speedy and effective recovery. Using electrotherapy modalities coupled with holistic treatments such as visceral manipulation plus many more.

Arthritis – this degenerative condition can be helped by physiotherapy. Coupled with exercises and manual therapy, pain can be reduced and managed in a more holistic way then painkillers.

Achilles tendonitis – this condition is usually caused by over activity in the muscles or poor mechanics. Physiotherapy will help to address both of these issue and give effective treatment to reduce pain and prevent the issue occurring again.

Calf tear – this is very common in athletes. A physiotherapist can help diagnose and rehabilitate the injury by using friction massage, electrotherapy and strengthening exercises were appropriate.

Lower back pain – this can either be through the disc or facet joint problems that have caused pain. The physiotherapist will look at the back as a whole to ensure the alignment of your pelvis and reduce muscle spasm for an effective treatment using manual therapy and exercises to decrease pain and improve function.

Neck pain – the Physio will look at your general neck movement and muscle tone and give manual therapy to reduce spasm and increase joint movement.

Sciatica – caused by irritation of the sciatic nerve, this is a very common condition that usually stems from the back. The physio will look at nerve length and tension with a full back assessment and perform manual therapy or nerve mobilisations to help reduce pain and discomfort.

Carpel tunnel syndrome (RSI) – a common injury among office workers. Tension within the forearm and wrist due to repetitive motion can be helped my manual therapy and a series of exercises looking to relax and lengthen tight tendons.

Tennis elbow – this is common within manual workers not just tennis player! Irritation of the tendon around the outside of the elbow can be improved by manual therapy, electrotherapy and home exercises.

Golfers elbow – this is irritation of the tendon around the inside of the elbow treated the same way as tennis elbow.

Muscle cramps – these can be caused by a build up of toxic fluid in the muscles caused by activity. Massage is extremely good in reducing the frequency and severity of muscle cramps.

Knee pain – caused by a number of problems, meniscus tears, ligament sprains and tendonitis. Our experienced physios will look at the knee as a whole to ensure that an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan are arranged, helping to clear your symptoms quickly.

Plantar fasciitis – sharp acute pain into the bottom of the foot, usually caused by being on the feet for long periods. A number of treatments including manual therapy, stretching, taping and electrotherapy can be used to effectively treat this condition.

Shoulder pain – a number of issues can be causing shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, impingement, previous dislocation. The physios at HTH will perform a thorough assessment to diagnose the cause of the problem and then rehabilitate it.

Other injuries that are able to be treated at the clinic – post fracture rehab, muscle pulls, sporting injuries, ankle sprains, wrist or hand injuries, post pregnancy pain, headaches, poor posture, spondylosis, rib injuries, whiplash and more.
