Lisa started Hands That Heal in 2010 after a rugby season finished and she got bored (she is a workaholic – self confessed).
Since then, she has offered injury treatment and prevention to some of the country’s top athletes. These include Olympic Gold Medal-winning Hull boxer Luke Campbell, Olympic and Paralympic athletes who competed in the 2012 Olympic Games, the Great Britain, Wheelchair Basketball team, Superleague netball and National League ice hockey teams, and Great Britain and World class equestrian athletes.
With a vast and exciting career in Sport, Lisa set up Hands That Heal to help the people of East Yorkshire get the best treatment so they are free from pain and move well, reaching their goals and living their best life. Whether that is running a marathon, or being able to pick up the grand children.
Outside of work, Lisa has two very large dogs which if you come into the clinic, you will hear about! A naughty husky, and a lovable labrador. With a keen interest in sport, Lisa is also back running and playing netball.
Sports Therapist and Endurance Coach
Martyn has a degree in Sports Science and a Msc in Sports Therapy, and 20 years of experience as an endurance coach. Alongside his day to day work in the clinic Martyn has extensive knowledge of sports injury rehabilitation and a particular interest in endurance sport injuries.
With his special interest in biomechanics and exercise physiology he will be heading up our specialist running injury and performance clinic. Martyn also offers shockwave therapy and carries out the assessment and prescription of our 3d printed custom orthotics.
Physiotherapist
Lucy is a passionate physiotherapist who finds joy in helping people recover from injuries. She has had previous experience working in the NHS in the Neurosurgery and Oncology departments. She has a particular interest in lower back problems as this area is vital to our overall well-being and significantly impacts our quality of life. Lucy likes to adopt the holistic personalised approach to alleviate pain, restore mobility and enhance the overall function.
When Lucy is not at the clinic she loves to be in the great outdoors, especially skiing in the winter months. Her love for skiing and outdoor activities helps to keep her active but also serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a healthy pain-free body.
Physiotherapist
Hannah is a dedicated compassionate Physiotherapist with a specific interest in neurological conditions and neck rehabilitation. Her mission is to empower individuals to regain control of their lives through specialised physiotherapy techniques and personalised care.
With over 15 years of experience as a carer before transitioning to Physiotherapy, Hannah brings a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges faced by those seeking to overcome physical limitations. This background has instilled empathy and commitment to providing the highest quality of care to all her patients. This experience set Hannah up well to be able to offer home visit services for accessibility and excellent care in the comfort of their own home.
Throughout her career, Hannah has managed various neurological conditions, helping patients regain strength, mobility and independence. Hannah also has a keen focus on neck- related injuries, recognising the crucial role the neck plays in overall physical well being. Her approach is holistic so she addresses the underlying cause and symptoms to achieve long lasting results. She gained valuable experience working within the NHS outpatients department, gaining exposure to a wide range of conditions.
Hannah has a vibrant life outside of work. When she is not helping patients you can find her enjoying music festivals with her family, which helps her unwind and recharge to bring fresh energy and creativity into her practice.
Physiotherapist
Paige is a Physiotherapist who graduated from York St John University. Prior to this, Paige was a Medic in the Royal Air Force. She is excited to apply her expanded knowledge base and hands on skills to help clients decrease pain, increase function and get you back to doing what you enjoy. Paige particularly enjoys treating problems in the lower limbs.
In her free time, you will find Paige in the pool, swimming has always been a passion. She has been competing in the water since the age of 8 and trying to impart her swimming knowledge in the form of teaching over the years too. Recently she has been trying to increase the love in the love-hate relationship she has with her new hobby- golf... any tips would be greatly appreciated! Paige also enjoys traveling to new places which usually entails eating good food and drinking wine.
Jenny is our front desk rock star, not only answering the phones, sending out texts, she makes a cracking cup of tea and is always on hand to lean a listening ear. Not only is Jenny the glue that holds
the practice together, but the waiting room always has laughter with her in it!
Outside of work, Jen will be found on her bike taking in the beautiful East Yorkshire countryside with her family or in her garden tending to her many plants.
Katie is the brains behind the scenes that keeps the business running and Lisa from having a nervous break down. She looks after all the back office side, financials, marketing and makes sure all the staff
are working hard, getting our clients to their goals.
Outside of work, new mum Katie is often seen running with dog Roxy, or out with family and friends walking in the countryside. Being one of the green fingered crew at the clinic, Katie and Jenny make sure all the plants at the clinic stay alive.
Head of Social Media
Siobhan is head of our social media and marketing here at the clinic; anything you see on our Facebook and Instagram are her creations. She has a passion for photography and videography and loves the freedom of creativity she has within her role.

On the side of her working at the clinic Siobhan runs her own business from her little country cottage, loves time in her garden and enjoys a happy life with her husband Guy and daughter Ava.
