Physiotherapy Student – Sports Massage and Mentorship Role


Location: South Cave and Pocklington clinics

Hours: Flexible part-time, paid role

Start date: Immediate or around study commitments


Are you a final-year Physiotherapy student (BSc or MSc) looking to gain valuable real-world experience before graduation?


We’re offering an exciting Sports Massage and Mentorship opportunity designed to help you transition confidently from student to qualified clinician. We are a supportive, forward-thinking clinic with over 15 years of trusted service to our local community helping people to move better, feel better, and live life to the full.


What the role involves

As part of this paid, flexible role, you’ll:

  • Deliver sports massage treatments under professional guidance.
  • Work within an experienced team of physiotherapists.
  • Gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment with access to advanced rehab tools (shockwave, and 3D scanning).
  • Receive structured mentorship from experienced physiotherapists.
  • Take part in in-house and external training opportunities, plus online learning modules.
  • Be supported in developing your clinical confidence, communication skills, and understanding of holistic patient care.


This role is designed as a development pathway, with the opportunity for a full-time Physiotherapist position at Hands That Heal once you graduate and register with the HCPC.


What we’re looking for

  • Final-year BSc or MSc Physiotherapy student (UK-based university)
  • Sports Massage qualification essential 
  • Passionate about helping people and learning within a collaborative team
  • Professional, motivated, and eager to develop both clinical and personal skills
